Skip the shallow digital noise. This is a warm, welcoming space built for big laughs, real chemistry, and making genuine friends who actually get it.

Leave the body standards behind. This is a clothing-optional, judgment-free zone dedicated to radical self-love and appreciating thick, unapologetic Asian bodies.

  • No tickets here, but we do run on a $30 suggested donation to cover the weekend’s overhead and planning. That helps us buy supplies for everyone. You can toss it our way via Venmo/Zelle before you hit the desert, or poolside when you arrive. Cash discouraged.

  • If you are staying on-site at Casa Oliver: No pass needed! Full pool deck and resort access throughout the weekend is already included with your room reservation.

    If you are staying off-site or visiting for the day: Yes, anyone not booked at Casa Oliver will need a pass to enter the grounds:

    Tip: We strongly suggest purchasing day passes online in advance through Casa Oliver to make check-in smooth and skip any line at the gate.

  • We will have some non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and basic refreshments on hand, but Sticky Rice is generally a BYOB-friendly space. If you have a specific spirit, a favorite craft beer, or something special you want to share with the group, please feel free to toss it in the kitchen fridge!

  • Honestly? A lot of lounging. We aren't a packed festival or a heavily scheduled retreat. Think of it as a long weekend at a friend's pool house. There will be some bigger events like a poolside DJ, some casual icebreakers, and plenty of snacks, but you are 100% free to just sleep in, read a book on the deck, and do your own thing.

  • Completely relaxed. Sticky Rice is designed to be an unpretentious backyard sanctuary for gay Asian bears and their admirers. Think of it as a long, easy weekend at a friend's pool house. A welcoming, grounded space built for guys of all builds to hang out, share snacks, and catch the desert sun. We’re all about great company, casual afternoons by the pool, and amazing experiences.

  • September in Palm Springs is beautiful but still can be very hot, so pack smart. Your essentials are SPF sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, and a reliable pair of slippers. Bring loose, breathable fabrics like linen or light cotton for outdoors, plus a light hoodie or long-sleeve layer just in case.
